Asked by Jamie Martin

i installed ubuntu 14.01 and encrypted the disk. now it asks for two passwords when booting. one for the disk i encrypted and another for a disk i dont know about. i can get to the terminal if that helps. if possable id like to just remove encryption compleatly.
System is a Surface Pro. Cant get it to boot from sd card anymore either.

There is no Ubuntu 14.01.

There is Ubuntu 14.08 (Codenamed Trusty) and Ubuntu 14.10 (Codenamed Utopic). Which is it?

14.04 LTS Sorry i got my numbers mixed up too. As it turns out I'm going to close this(or ask for it to be closed.) It managed to boot from a different USB other then the five I tried. I just re installed without encryption.
