How to quit a running package manager by command line?
I am running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Recently, during upgrading HP LIP to its latest version 3.14.10, in the terminal it appeared a warning as under:-
A package manager 'tail -F' appears to be running. Please quit the package manager and press enter to continue (i=ignore, r=retry*, f=force, q=quit) :
My questions are:
(1). What is the meaning of -- A package manager 'tail -F' ?
(2). How could one know that it is running?
(3). Through which command it could be Quit?
Please reply in a simple and detailed explenetary way as I am not a computer/ubuntu qualified person.
thanks and regards.
