xorg.log no device /dev/input/wacom

I want to use old wacom serial tablet in gimp. have 1 serialport (recognized in hardwareinfo) Installed wacom driverpackage followed all howtos.Edited xorg.conf. I get the tablet react correctly in terminal with wacdump, but X can't load it.(**) stylus device is /dev/input/wacom

here goes the correspondig section of xorg.log

In fact there is no wacom or ttyS0 in /dev/input to be found, perhaps there is something wrong in my Xsystem?

I went through all this before posting and tried all wiki and howto sugestions, problem is the tabletdriver is there, but the tablet does not appear in /dev/input, - in fact wacdump reacts to it and I think it should'nt if Xsytem took over.
