hi res backgrounds downloads small, not to scale

Asked by OldeFoxx

Using Ubuntu 14.04 and Firefox, I visi dozens of sites online that offer free images for download. I can see the image size of each when I position the mouse pointer over one. But when I try to use the right mouse button to view or set it as my new background, it loads small, I don;t want to stretch it oe fit it, because the image edges all turn blury.

How can I deal with this ?

Right click the image and select to view the image, when you have the large image. Right click and set that as the wallpaper

Okay, I found two ways to get an image to doenload to scale. One is to use the right mouse button and open the image in a new tab. The second is to open the image in a new window.
