X-Windows manager binary

Installation of anything is easy in ubuntu.. Just a simple command does the job (since it is loaded in the repositories)

sudo apt-get install x-window-manager (In a terminal applications -> accessories -> terminal)

and x window manager is a virtual package provided by:

You should explicitly select one to install x window manger

For example, if you select metacity then the command should be

sudo apt-get install metacity
