Using partitions for my files.

Asked by Kirill

Hi.
My boot partition is about to run out of space.
I have more partitions.
How can I use them to create folders and store files?
Thanks everyone.
Kirill.

try using gparted. It can create filesystems on your partitions

That's what I did.
I created a partition in the free area.
How can I use it? I don't see it in Places-> Computer. I can't create a folder there because it is in root's ownership.
What is the concept exactly?
The Ubuntu Help does not explain this.
Thanks.

I suggest you to:
- Boot from Ubuntu 7.10 live cd
- Delete the new just created (empy) partition to make free space
- Use gparted simply increase the size of your boot partition
- Reboot your system.

Hope this helps

Resize option is disabled for the boot partition.
