I have a problem printing on a nework device (HP 3050 j610)

Asked by Baptiste Burgaud

printer is deteceted and correctly installed on my bbox (french xDSL box), but print jobs are refused.... I got message "Print job was not accepted." when I watch the printer properties. For info, when connecting same printer to USB port everything works fine.
Any help would be appriciated :)

Baptiste.

What is the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy hplip

Thanks.

Also, can you ping the IP of the printer / connect to it's web configuration page via HTTP (use a web browser)

Are you sure that you have done all required settings in the bbox for the printer?

What response do you get if you try opening http://bbox:631 in your web browser?

Yes I think (settings) for the http request I get this answer:

File not found
Firefox can't find the file at http://bbox:631/.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Baptiste Burgaud for more information if necessary.
