Any problem with this player?
You can use Ubuntu Software Center for this. But it will warn you if it is an essential part of any package.
Which player is this?
So please clarify the actual problem. Then try.

Synaptic Package Manager will help you to install/uninstall packages. You will find 'Synaptic Package manager' in Ubuntu Software Center. Sometimes you will need to install it. There are several options in this app. Using this App you can decide whether you need to remove/remove comepletely/update etc.

My question is as regards to updating. I have several partitions running different Ubuntu flavours. I installed Thaddeus Fischer's version as it seemed the most up to date; supporting up to Vivid.

I installed the plugin today on a straight Ubuntu version and it shows the 16 version installed while my Ubuntu Gnome partition still shows version 15. Is there a terminal command to update a specific PPA? I've used the usual apt-get-update && apt-get upgrade stuff as well as reinstalling the fresh player plugin but it still shows version 15.

I had a thought and answered my own question. Freshplayer doesn't need the update but pepper flash does.

sudo update-pepperflashplugin-nonfree --install. I rebooted Firefox and am now running the latest version.
