Have you tried to press a button on that screen and either select install from there, or attempt a live run of it

Messages like
"timeout: killing '/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/sda"
can indicate a problem with the hard disk.

Can you check whether the disk cables are correctly plugged in?
You might also try completely disconnecting the disk cable(s) or totally removing the disk, and then booting in "Try Ubuntu without installing" mode. If that works, this would point to the hard disk (or cables or controller) as the culprit.

With the hard drive removed - did you also get the messages "timeout: killing '/sbin/blkid -o udev -p /dev/sda"?
