Please try this solution

https://bugs.launchpad.net/unetbootin/+bug/1190256/comments/3

in the following bugreport:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/unetbootin/+bug/1190256

So you need to copy menu.c32 , libutil.c32 and libcom32.c32 from /usr/lib/syslinux/bios/ or from /usr/lib/syslinux/modules/bios to the USB drive root directory to try to solve that error message.

An alternative solution would be to follow this procedure:

Eventually it appears to be a Unetbootin (which I have been using for years) problem as a few minutes ago I tested
a usb made out of the startup disk creator and a dvd from brasero and both work perfectly out of the same download
the unet creates the problem. All I wanted is 3 usb sticks to give to friends. Thanks
