Hi,

I got the same problem myself when I performed an upgrade recently. I wouldn't worry too much given that Hardy is still in testing, and therefore in a state where not everything is necessarily upgraded at the same tiime.

You will probably find that, although the kernel has been updated, the linux-restricted-drivers part has not yet been updated to the new version.

In my case, I just fell back to using the "nv" driver in X until the restricted drivers are made available in an upgrade.

Regards,

Stuart

Yes, it happened yesterday, and lots of people had the same problem in #ubuntu+1 on freenode.

Yes, you are right the 'linux-restricted-drivers' package thing didn't update yet.

They must make a new update and release new linux-restricted-drivers so it works again.

Thanks, I have now updated.
(It wasn't in the mirror I used, but I change settings, to use "Main server")

Now my computer works perfect again! :)
