Simdock Error

I trying to run Simdock on Ubuntu 8.04 Alpha 5. But it come up with an error that says "Can't load image from file '/usr/share/firefox/icons/mozicon128': file does not exis." How do i Fix the error? And I am using Firefox 3 Beta 3.

I think because you are using firefox3 the file has been moved. You could try and symlink the file if it still exists but I can't re-produce this error.

Try the following;

sudo find /usr/share -iname mozicon128
sudo mkdir /usr/share/firefox/icons
sudo ln (location in step 1) /usr/share/firefox/icons/mozicon128

Not 100% sure that will work...

The new icon file seems to be located under /usr/share/pixmaps/firefox-3.0.png where others are too.

Anyway... This happens because some old Firefox is the build-in and first automatically added Launcher. So just remove or edit this Launcher.

I get the same complaint for...

/usr/share/backgrounds/warty-final-ubuntu.png

...and I don't know how I should configure Simdock given that it won't load - these missing images are fatal.

Turns out that it's actually launching after all the error messages, (missing images aren't fatal),
but in a location half way down my second screen, with a slice of the bottom left corner of my Firefox window which was open when I launched it.

I think my Xubuntu is messed up from me trying to run an external monitor and everything is confused about how big the desktop is.

Can you help with this problem?
