Equivalent of restore (Win XP) in Ubuntu (Gutsy 7.10)?

I'm new with Ubuntu (Gutsy 7.10). I'm trying to getting acquainted with it.
I've mostly all the hardware stuff pretty much done and working well, so far.
My question is related with the basic tool "Restore" that Windows XP has.
Is there any similar utility in Ubuntu 7.10?
