Strange email concerning question asked in 2011

Asked by Margaret Mackintosh

Hi,

I just received this email that I copied & pasted to this below. I looked up the number of question that this person is replying to. The date is 2011, what is going on here? I don't have any current questions. See below:

What if anything does this have to do with my original question back in 2011? Weird.

That is quite easily explained:

You created a question (number 167711) three years ago, and as the creator of that question you are subscribed to receive e-mails whenever there is a change on that document or a new comment or answer.

kesava (chandran-kesava) has replied to that question and has received the usual reply notification from Launchpad in her/his mailbox.

Apparently kesava now has some kind of malware on his/her computer that sends out a nonsense message to all senders or recipients found in the mailbox.

I recommend you just ignore that message (and any other ones that might come). Eventually you could also unsubscribe receipt of notifications for https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+question/167711
