Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop with LG W2353V external display cannot enter graphic environment in Precise.

Precise Pangolin/Trusty Tahr dual boot system on internal hard drive. Trusty works normally, so not a hardware problem. Tried resetting display under Trusty to laptop screen and hot unplugging before rebooting Precise, but does not help. Output from community Graphics Troubleshooting Procedure (script would not complete):
