I added pspp program and menu-xdg program via synaptic package manager

I added pspp program and menu-xdg program via synaptic package manager and both appear in the synaptic as installed,, but both are not in the add/remove program list and do not appear in the application list,, I can not find them or make them work,,,what can I do to make them appear??

Some programs are made for use in a terminal, so they don't provide a graphical unser-interface and are nict listed in then applications menu. To run this programs you have to open a terminal and type the command for the program there. You can get help for this programs in yelp (System->Help and Support) or in Terminal type i.e.
  man pspp
or
  info pspp
For pspp there is also a html and a pdf document installed under /usr/share/doc/pspp/pspp.html/index.html and /usr/share/doc/pspp/pspp.pdf.
To create a launcher right-click on the menu bar and select 'Edit Menu'.
