You have chosen the near minimun for your root file system to install Ubuntu.
You have some options:

1. reinstall with an other partition setup
2. resize the partitions (for example with the Ubuntu boot media and gparted)
3. run: sudo apt-get autoclean
4. use the disk usage analysing tool (applikations → system) to find some files (like caches) that can be removes
5. Delete old kernel versions: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/Documentation/RemoveOldKernels

Can you help with this problem?
