Wireless not working at all, thinkpad x240, intel 7260, ubuntu 14.04

I just bought a brand new Lenovo Thinkpad x240. After installing Ubuntu 14.04 everything there is no sign of WiFi.

The card is intel 7260. It connects normally through a cable DHCP.

after "iwlist scan" i get

wwan0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.

lo Interface doesn't support scanning.

If you have a shortcut key to enable / disable the wifi then press it.

Afterwards, you also need to install the linux-firmware package.

But support for your wireless adapter is extremely experimental and will likely not work until a proper fix is provided.

The wireless transfer speed may be slow and unstable.

I also suggest logging into the webpage of your wireless router and forcing it to use Wireless-G speeds (54 Mbps speeds) to try to stabilize the connection.
