Cant do any updates or installs cause of an issue

Hello,

I get this error every time i try to do an update or install.

E: Malformed line 81 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (dist)
E: Unable to lock the list directory

not to sure what to do.

Issue this command:

cat -n /etc/apt/sources.list | grep 81

and post the output here.

Change it to:

deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ gusty free non-free

if you are running Gutsy Gibbon, save the file and try running your update again. You will have to issue the :

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

command to be able to edit the file.

Let me know if this does not work.
