switching to Ubuntu Studio

Hi,

I am currently using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and am seriously looking at switching to Ubuntu Studio.
Is this a relativey simple thing to do (for a novice!) or am I looking at a complete install from scratch?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for that.......is that all there is to it? The sytem will just take care of everything? And no need for a backup?

The only difference between ubuntu and ubuntu studio is the default application set. You have now installed both so you will find all the multimedia applications found in ubuntu studio are available in the Dash and will run as expected.
