Nvidia driver 169.09 not in Gutsy - Unable to use my GF8800GT whithout tweaking

Why isn't the latest Nvidia driver in Gutsy repos? How am I supposed to use my GF8800GT card?

Thank you for your suggestion. However, the changes you are requesting aren't really a bug and require more discussion, which should be done on an appropriate mailing list or forum. [WWW] http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community/mailinglists might be a good start for determining which mailing list to use.

Hi,
Ubuntu ships with the latest stable drivers at the time of release.
You need to manually install the latest drivers from nvidia's website
