booting ubuntu 11.04.4 from usb onto motion computing tab m1400

when I used my original live usb/installer I had to choose the following options to boot:
acpi=off
noapic
aolapic
edd=on
it would boot fine minus the ability to use the stylus

after installing to a secondary usb, it will go to a blank with an underscore blinking in the top left corner.

How can I add those same commands from the live usb to work on the install usb?

Ubuntu 11.04 is EOL, it is no longer supported.
