Uninstall flashplugin-installer and enable the partner repo. Install the adobe-flashplugin package and restart your browser.

If you use Chrome it comes with Pepper Flash by default.

I'm very new to Ubuntu and not afraid to plead ignorance. I've been using Ubuntu for about two weeks now. So, how do I uninstall the flash plugin installer and get the adobe package? I'm using Firefox.

I appreciate your help.

I suggest learning more about Ubuntu using these links:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ExternalGuides

Follow these instructions to install Google Chrome:

http://www.enqlu.com/2014/03/how-to-install-google-chrome-on-ubuntu-14-04-lts-or-linux-mint-17.html

These instructions are just a Google search away and very easy to find.

You can uninstall flashplugin-installer using Ubuntu Software Center:

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Noel for more information if necessary.
