activate network interfaces on boot automatic

i am running ubuntu server 6.06

i ignored the network configuration interfaces while i am setting up the server.
now i need to make the 3 interfaces up automatic, each time i start up the server
from the command line.

If I understood you right, you want the interfaces to go up automatically when booting the server, not manually afterwards. If so, the file /etc/network/interfaces is where you can configure your network interfaces. For instructions on how to do this, the subchapters 10.6.1.1 and 10.6.1.2 of

might be useful to you.
