Uninstalling Enlightenment

Asked by Nayef Copty

I installed Enlightenment and I chose that it edits my start up files so that it starts up automatically.
I restarted my computer, and I did not like it at all so I went to Synaptic, and marked all Enlightenment and it's libraries for complete removal. After rebooting, it said I cannot login and it gave me an error. I can only get on Failsafe GNOME.

Please help me !!

Thanks a lot,

If you can get to GNOME failsafe then can you then get to System --> Preferences --> Sessions and under the "Startup Programs" tab remove the Enlightenment based stuff then logout and back in again? FYI I only have update-notifier, evolution-alarm-notify, gnome-power-manager and gnome-volume-manager listed on my machine.

:D Thanks a lot.

I had a startup program called "nm-applet --sm-disable" (it won't remove)
I disabled it and now I successfully logged in as a GNOME session :)
For a moment, I thought I had to reinstall GNOME lol.

Thanks a lot Mr. Alan.

Have a Good Day.
