black screen after upgrade to ubuntu 14.04

Hi
last night i upgrade my system from 13.10 to 14.04
don't know really if it's complete upgrading or not, but after rebooting the system, it asks me to enter my password then I got black screen with cursor flashes
What can I do?

I have tried to fix it, it was a problem with my GPU AT FIRST, fix it
and now still prolem with unity, can't reset it !
i have sony vaio SERIE E VPCEH16EF
 system was ubuntu 13.10 & after upgrade i have now ubuntu 14.04, 32 bit...

Seems to be an Optimus setup. These are far from friendly. I suggest you remove the Nvidia packages from your system to make it use the nouveau driver, then reboot then reinstall the driver.
