i would like to be able to set up more than 4 primary drives during the initial setup of kubuntu

During the initial setup of kubuntu. I wanted to have more than 4 primary drives. I was unable to do this under the part where i configured my drive manually? Any help on this would be grestly appriciated.

When you say "drives", do you mean "partitions"? It isn't possible to have more than 4 primary partitions on a drive. Instead you can have 4 primary and a number of logical partitions.

Can I ask why you want more than 4 partitions?

when i was trying to install kubuntu today i wanted to manually configure my
drive so that i would have 4 primary drives ....because one was the restore
drive for dell....i had to delete it to be able to make the 1024meg swap
drive. Which it took me a little while to figure it out... but I did
