my top toolbar is mostly hidden

My computer was suspended and when I woke it up it went through some ckecking process and started up with most of the top toolbar pushed out of the top of the screen, only the bottom is showing.

Is your display set up properly? Most monitors have a auto-configuration option, just run it.

What is the output of :

Well, in that case you might google for rhe manual, or you have to try yourself to adjust the picture settings.
