System Recovery Point

Asked by mahesh kolekar

Previously I was using windows 7
it has a feature of system restore
if i am having a problem with my system i just select a restore point and then system will run fine again

Can ubuntu have some feature like this

today i recived an error at startup while running ubuntu 14.04 on my laptop

something like

system program detected problem

I checked other threads about system recovery

mondo and mindi

I want to ask if they will create a backup image for my current sytem

OR

Restore my system to my prior configuration before that error

Do I loose my all updates and system will start from scratch

Unless you make a full backup image yourself, no Ubuntu doesn't have this feature.
