How do I install Lubuntu 14.04 via terminal on my computer?

I'm currently using Lubuntu 12.04 and have tried updating to 14.04 with a live CD but it ends up freezing through the beginning part of the install. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated.

If you wait for 14.04 to go to 14.04.1 in a week or so, it will be offered to you.....
