Lost all admin. privelages please help.

The computer was accidently shut off without shutting down. when I restarted
it all admin. privelages have been removed.
                                                                  please help.

You should consider to boot with recovery mode. You will be given a root console where you can restore a stable configuration.

Im new to linux can get to recovery mode not sure what to do when I get there.
