Kidding in what way? The command hauls down all your data to the system. Allowing you to take your data and store it elsewhere. I'm not seeing any element of "kidding" here at all. Omgubuntu has a post relating to this as well.

Are you kidding?

sudo apt-get install unp

wget http://ubuntuone.com/u1-downloader/u1-downloader.tar.gz

unp ./u1-downloader.tar.gz

cd ./u1-downloader

Sums it up well. Seems my 'cd' command was off but you get the idea. The wget command works fine here

@actionparsnip thanks for your response ..
clicking on the file link http://ubuntuone.com/u1-downloader/u1-downloader.tar.gz send me here: Vp0kUKvP.html which is appears to re-direct back to ubuntuone download page.
as far as:
     sudo apt-get install unp
     wget http://ubuntuone.com/u1-downloader/u1-downloader.tar.gz
     unp ./u1-downloader.tar.gz
     cd ./u1-downloader
thanks, at least I was able to download something 2014-06-24 07:20:54 (1.54 MB/s) - `u1-downloader.tar.gz' saved [5147355/5147355] BUT script DOES NOT WORK :
o798@0798:~/u1-downloader$ ./u1_downloader
bash: ./u1_downloader: cannot execute binary file
YES checked to make sure file was executable, YES even sudo which generated;
 ./u1_downloader: 1: ./u1_downloader: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
I even redownloaded using and used tar to unpack archive as specified in FAQ .. still the same thing.
No, I'm not kidding, thanks for all your help BUT the problem is not resolved/.d

Do you have a 32-bit installation of Ubuntu? Then download the archive from http://ubuntuone.com/u1-downloader/u1-downloader-32b.tar.gz .

So the actual answer to your question:

"I get redirect to same page. Are you guys kidding ?
What's the problem ?"

Is no, we aren't kidding. You made the mistake and so caused your own issue.
