Yes you can go through the normal install process and you will have Ubuntu on the system

one of my installer said the first version of g3 wont work..he did try out but it seems the system didn't allow him to proceed with the installation

Did you MD5 test the ISO you downloaded?
If you burned a CD / DVD did you burn as slowly as possible?
