the disk drive for/tep is not ready yetor not present while start ubuntu 14.04

upon installing ubuntu 14.04 on my lap top(windows xp os) on boot up massage is the disk drive for/tmp is not ready yet or not present. what to do?

If you boot to live CD / USB and mount the Ubuntu partition you can ad the below line to the etc/fstab file:

tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0

This will make it mount at boot by force and be ok.
