UBUNTU compatability on 32bit systems, yes or no?

I just received my 2008 version of UBUNTU. I am having trouble installing it on either of
my two 32 bit Gateway machines. Can any one offer help?

It's compatible, but not with ALL hardware. Please provide the specifics of your system.

What version of Ubuntu are you trying to install? What part of the installation do you get to? Where are you having problems? Please be more specific.
