playing dvd in 14.04

Recently upgraded from 12.10 to 14.04. Now find that the 'default" media player - Videos - will not play either dvds burned on pc or the iso created by DeVeDe. Any ideas what I can do. Had no problems in 12.10. Is "Videos" the same thing now as what "MoviePlayer", which worked fine in previous verisons?
