Numberpad '5' Key launches Ubuntu Desktop Guide

Asked by Jonah Aberle

Ever since I updated to 14.04, I've had this problem where the '5' key on my laptop (Y510p) does not actually type the number five. Instead, after a short delay, it launches the Ubuntu Desktop Guide. I have never experienced this problem before and I would be greatful for any help anyone could offer me. Thanks!

Make sure you have the latest BIOS

Does it happen in XFCE too? You can test by installing xfce4 then logging off then log in to the XFCE session.

Nope, I used Gnome instead but every time I click the '5' key from the number pad it invokes the help menu. It's really odd and very annoying. I think I need to submit it as a 14.04 bug....
