Has Anyone Successfully Installed HylaFAX in Linux?

I would like to know if anyone has successfully Installed HylaFAX's source file in Linux, especially Ubuntu 12.04. I've no trouble in tarring the downloaded hylafax-6.0.6 .tar.gz package, but don't know what to do with the errors resulting from running the ./configure command or how to interpret the ./configure.log file.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for the very helpful link. Its instructions enabled me to install the HylaFAX binary package. I need to point out that it does not include hylafax-doc for Ubuntu 12.04.
