can't upgrade to 14.04 : espace insuffisant sur /boot

this is what appears :Espace libre insuffisant sur le disque

La mise à niveau a échoué. La mise à niveau a besoin de 59,1 M d'espace libre sur le disque « /boot ». Veuillez libérer un espace supplémentaire de 11,1 M sur le disque « /boot ». Videz la corbeille et supprimez les paquets logiciels temporaires à l'aide de l'application Système > Administration > Nettoyage du système, ou en tapant la commande suivante dans un terminal : « sudo apt-get clean ».
I tried the command "sudo apt-get clean" and nothing happens

sudo apt-get --purge remove linux-image-3.11.0-1*
sudo apt-get --purge autoremove

Will leave you with the linux-image-3.11.0-20-generic kernel you are on now.

Why did you make a separate /boot partition?
