touchpad scrolling stopped working since upgrade to ubuntu 14.04

I recently upgraded from ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04 and found that my HP Pavilion DV6 touchpad does not accept touchpad scrolling both in vertical and horizontal directions. Is this something that needs to be resolved during the updates to Trusty or is there something I can do to make it work?

If your touchpad supports it, you should be able to got to mouse in the Unity dash, and enable two-finder-scrolling there, if that's what you're after.

For some strange reason if I switch off two-finger-scrolling the touchpad scrolling works.... Thanks for pointing it out though.

How odd.... Maybe you should file a bug to get this fixed.
