Deleted file by accident

I accidently pressed "discard" while I was trying to save in libreoffice writer but it didn't save. Is there a way to retrieve what I was working on? the last state of the file?

Was it ever saved to the drive? If the file is still open and you kill the process it may leave a temporary file behind. Otherwise I suggest you post on the Libreoffice forum. They may know something too.
