How to install usb to vga graphic adapter for dual monitor

Asked by Adelchi Pelizzo

I have an external device usb to vga to extend my desktop. I tried to create new xorg.conf file and add it to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d but seems is not enough.

What is the output of :

sudo lshw -C display; lsb_release -a; uname -a; lsusb

You haven't said anything about the make and model of the USB stick. The command above should fill us in. In future please give as full details as you can.

Thanks

If you unplug the device and wait a few seconds. Then plug it back in, wait a few seconds then run:

dmesg | tail -n 20; lsusb
