I work with ubuntu13.10. I tried to instal 'dropbox'. Menubar & launcher have disappeared. Please help

I work with ubuntu13.10. I tried to instal 'dropbox'. menubar & launcher disappeared. I am not able to close files opened in 'Libre' etc. For shutting down, I have to do a H/W turn off.
After going through questions & answers, I did the following:
Opened terminal with: Ctrl+Alt+F1
Entered: sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
Entered: export DISPLAY=:0
Entered: ccsm
Entered: Ctrl+Alt+F7
. . . .
System unstalled 'dropbox'. But my problem remains.
Please help
