Junk posted against my question

Asked by Ian_Wilson

I asked an Ubuntu question and received some useful replies replies.
Then someone posted a utube comment and now there are a string of junk postings on response.
How do I stop the email notifications?

Open the question document https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/244474
On the right hand side you see several lists, one of the has got the heading 'Subscribers'.
Just below there you should see an entry "(-) Unsubscribe".
Clicking on that link will remove your e-mail address from the list of persons who get notified whenever there is a change on that answer document.

Maybe it would also be appropriate to request that this person gets banned from launchpad.

And in case you still have problems resetting your password, you should create a question document of your own.

Another thing you can do is ask a question here

https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad

Requesting that something be done about this user.

Citing your question

https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/244474

and this users launchpad page

https://launchpad.net/~scottymax

Hopefully this should result in the user being sent a friendly email making it clear that this is not the way this site is intended to work and threatening that if they continue to post unrelated they will be banned from the site.

Thank you.
He has continued to post despite my requesting not to, but I will leave it at that and unsubscribed.
