no HDMI sound snd-hda-Intel

Hi,

I am currently trying to make the sound work with HDMI so I can play films/music through my sound system
My mother board is a Gygabyte GA-Z87N-WIFI with 2 hdmi ports, the audio codec of the car for analog sound is Realtek ALC892 codec.

When I go to the parameters panel -> Sound, I have nothing neither in the input or output window to choose from.

$ uname -a

I have the sound modules installed...

The sound card is physically installed and recognized by my hardware...

I did try: sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel

I added snd-hda-intel to /etc/modules

I tried to reinstall everything with :
sudo aptitude --purge reinstall linux-sound-base alsa-base alsa-utils linux-image-`uname -r` linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r` libasound2

When I load the PCM card (instead of MID) with alsamixer, the volme are right
alsamixer -c 1

When I load the MID card with alsamixer, the volme are all down and I only see S/PDIF which I don't use anyways.
alsamixer -c 0

I tried reinstalling Ubuintun but with 14.04 then I upgraded the kernel with the instructions/script from github.com it worked, I now have sound through my Intel onboard videocard using HDMI.

BUT

I can see nothing else but 3x PCM in alsa mixer while I should see an HDMI driver of some kind.
Well, I say I can play films and hear them but I can't play MP3 files...
weird!
