Is ufw on after you configure it with Gufw when I reboot?

Asked by William Pabon

Recently configured the firewall (ufw) with Gufw. I'm not sure if after reboot the firewall starts with the settings I configured. If not, how do I make it so? Is there a way to verify it is running? Thanks.

Warren:

Thank you for the answer. Ufw starts by default allowing everything (incoming/outgoing). Now, if I want to limit the access (either incoming or outgoing) to specific applications, how do I do this with ufw? For example, I want that my browsers, my mail program, my messaging app to have full access to the internet. How do I create rules for such things? Thanks again for the help.
