Steam not installing? 14.04

I had Steam installed without an issue in 13.10. I upgraded to 14.04, but now I get "package operation failed". I downloaded it directly from steam.com and set it to open in the software center. That's how I did it in 13.10 and it worked fine. Any ideas?

I suggest you report a bug. It worked on Saucy because it is stable and released. Trusty is not ready or released. It is prerelease, not ready with feature holes galore and not ready for the avarage user. It is for users who do not mind a part working OS but want to report bugs to get the OS ready for release. It will be bugy til even a few days after release.

Ok, will do. I knew the risks when I downloaded 14.04, but I wanted the Hi-Def screen support (I have a 1080p resolution on my 15.6" screen), and I LOVE it. Scaling is the bomb. So, okay, I'll report it as a bug.
