Cannot install Lubuntu or Xubuntu as I'm getting the error Task GPU Manager blocked for more than 120 seconds

I've downloaded the latest beta release and I'm trying to install it on my low end Dell laptop. It contains hybrid graphics. I'm getting the error "Task gpu manager blocked for more than 120 seconds" and the DVD does not boot further. Is this a known bug or should I file a new bug report?

Did you try blacklisting the nouveau driver module. It may help

@actionparsnip: How to blacklist the nouveau driver module? The DVD doesnot even boot past the Xubuntu/Lubuntu Plymouth Logo screen.

Xubuntu and Lubunu 13.10 ISO's boot up and I'm able to install from them but not from the latest beta ISOs.

Add the boot option :

nouveau.blacklist=1
