pdftk installed on ubuntu 12.04 now working?

I have pdftk installed on my computer (at least tat is what I get when I click to Ubuntu software centre. Oke and now (sory I'am new to Ubuntu). When I open a pdf file how can I work with it with pdftk (e.g. entript it)?

I've found pdfchain which is the graphic user for pdftk and installed it.
