Enter pass word for keyring 'Default' to unlock

Asked by Brian Healey

I'm very new to Ubuntu (and Linux). When I open a web browser and some other times I get a popup that says "Enter pass word for keyring 'Default' to unlock" I enter every password I have but it won't accept it. What is keyring 'Default'?

You can try the password you use to login. Do you use auto-login per chance?

What is the output of :

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Thanks

Thank you for your response. I tried my sudo password and that didn't work. It's possible that I set up auto-login, but I don't remember. I know that it never prompts me to enter a login password. Here's that output:brian@brian-HP-2000-Notebook-PC:~$ lsb_release -a; uname -a

Raring is EOL and no longer supported in any way. If passwords do not work then all you can do is delete the keyring file and reboot.
The OS will continue to work but the community and Canonical cannot support dead releases

Can you help with this problem?
